便箋（Short Note）屬于英文信函的一種，實(shí)際是一種簡(jiǎn)短信函，形式比一
般書(shū)信簡(jiǎn)單，大多使用非正式語(yǔ)體。便箋經(jīng)常用于熟識(shí)的朋友、同事之間，因而
臨時(shí)性強(qiáng)，內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)短，格式簡(jiǎn)便。寫(xiě)便箋時(shí)需要寫(xiě)清以下內(nèi)容：時(shí)間、人名及事
由。

    從格式上來(lái)講，便箋的稱呼和結(jié)尾謙稱部分是比較隨意的，可以直接寫(xiě)上對(duì)
方以及自己的名字，省略類(lèi)似于Mr. ， Dear ， Sincerely yours等禮貌用語(yǔ)。

    時(shí)間的寫(xiě)法也相對(duì)較隨意，寫(xiě)星期幾或者月日都是可以接受的，同時(shí)還可以
具體到幾點(diǎn)鐘。

    便箋的內(nèi)容一般是涉及請(qǐng)假、預(yù)約、通知、訪友不遇留言、接電話留言等等，
下面我們列舉一些例子供大家參考。

    1.請(qǐng)假條

    請(qǐng)假條可由別人代寫(xiě)，也可由請(qǐng)假人自己寫(xiě)。無(wú)論采取何種形式，其內(nèi)容必
須包括請(qǐng)假事由和期限，必要時(shí)還需附上醫(yī)生的診斷或其他的可以證明請(qǐng)假事由
的書(shū)面材料。

    July 20 ， 2007

    Dear Mr. Black：

    I am terribly sorry to inform you that I am unable to go to school
today owing to a severe headache. I enclose a certificate from the doctor
who is attending on me， as she fears it will be two days before I shall
be able to resume my study. Could you kindly excuse my absence on Monday
and Tuesday ？ Thanks.

    2.約會(huì)條

    約會(huì)條主要用于邀朋友相聚等，內(nèi)容必須包含約會(huì)的事由，如果已經(jīng)確定了
時(shí)間和地點(diǎn)，則應(yīng)將具體時(shí)間和地點(diǎn)寫(xiě)在便箋上。

    3.電話留言條

    電話留言（telephone message ）便條是在給別人打來(lái)電話時(shí)，該人不在場(chǎng)，
你替他或她接了電話后留給該人的字條。寫(xiě)這種便條時(shí)，首先要告訴對(duì)方誰(shuí)打來(lái)
的電話，再把電話內(nèi)容轉(zhuǎn)告清楚。

Shanghai this morning while you went out. He asked you to book an air
